The New Year got a lot colder for some area residents who found themselves the target of "Operation Winter Surprise," the latest phase in an ongoing anti-drug sweep by the Union County Sheriff's Office.

Union County deputies said two men stole from a Buffalo home last week while a couple was inside having sex.
