Another example of a local company doing whatever they want. The union accomplishes nothing by parading around the property. If the union won't work for $3 an hour, the company can say "bye bye."
Sad, but true..

I really want to blame the brainless guys holding signs and burning pallets for driving another business out of town. But I can't. They are just sheep. Being told what to do by their UNION bosses. Being promised that stiking is the AMERICAN way! Going on strike is a good idea! We want more money! Let's rally together and show the man that he can't push us around.
Sorry union Jack.
Now you get nothing.
I hope you sheep are all happy for following the advice of your union bosses.
YOU HAD ONE OF THE BEST JOBS IN THE AREA AND YOU THREW IT AWAY BECAUSE OF GREED!
I hope you learn how to deliver pizza like the rest of us in WNY.
Good luck.
Union Forever.

Unions are a load of crap and I really want to say they are almost incompatible with our modern society. I live in this area and shake my head every time I pass these idiots walking around wasting time by holding up these signs. My god, is $20+ dollars an hour REALLY not enough for you? How ****ing hard is your job that you require that much? Learn to live like the rest of us then because you just drove your jobs out of town. Good going guys and good luck finding a job that'll pay even close to what you were making before, especially now!

the jobs have been leaving the country since the LATE 1970S. THE WAGES HAVE BEEN GOING DOWN FOR AT LEAST TEN YEARS.THE PRICES WILL KEEP ON GOING UP.WHAT ARE YOU NON UNION GUYS DOING TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS FOR THE AVERAGE AMERICAN WORKER?BASHING SOMEONE THAT DOESNT WANT TO LOSE HALF THEIR WEEKLY PAY? WHY DID UNIONS COME ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE? BECAUSE THE BOSS TREATED EVERYBODY FAIRLY?I KNOW WE SHOULDNT DO OR SAY ANYTHING AND JUST LET THE CONDITIONS GET SO BAD THAT WERE WORKING FOR A BOWL OF RICE OR POTATOES A DAY.

Keeping our jobs in the country for starters.

You union guys need to get over yourselves and either get a trade or a college degree. Without either, the odds that you're going to find a decent job are slim to none. This isn't 1900 when unions were formed because of TRULY unfair labor practices. You can afford to be on the internet right now so you can't possibly begin to tell us your life is that bad.

I worked for a union a while ago and I gotta say all it did was promote laziness and unwarranted self importance while every week union dues were taken out of our checks and for what? So we could get an annual pamphlet telling us how special we were because we were part of a union. It's a scam, and because of it AA&M workers lost their jobs. There are labor laws in place for this kind of situation. Unions are antiquated and unnecessary.

If you don't like your job for whatever reason, tough ****, either suck it up or go find another one. Don't get pissy when people want to run their business like a business. The people above you are in it for themselves, as are the people above them. It's called free enterprise. They're not out to do you any favors so stop crying.

Also, typing in all caps makes you look like an idiot.

let's see if a nonunion company pays $15.00 an hour to make an axle, and is taking work away from a union shop that pays $25.00 an hour. now all of sudden the company says if we want new work all we have to do is be cost competive. and the way to do that is by cutting wages to $15.00 an hour. now the union company is taking work away from the nonunion company, because the nonunion company just lost there competive edge. whats the nonunion company going to tell their people. if you want to get new work your going to have to take a pay cut and work for $10.00 an hour. so in the long run when unions lose wages and benefits. so will nonunion. that is why we will always need unions to set the pay scale. because if dont have unions, know company will want to pay anything or anybody.

He also saved AA&M back in 1994 when GM was ready to shut it down entirely. He was your savior and he deserves to make millions, he took on all the risk in establishing AA&M and paying you slugs good wages for the past 14 years. Be thankful that you rode it as long as you did, the biscuit wheels have come off this gravy train.

BTW -$37 million in annual profit on sales of over $3 BILLION is not a very good rate of return.

Dana and Delphi set the new Tier 1 supplier wages during their bankruptcy hearings and now you must fall in line. The machine is at work.

in 2006 aa&m lost 2 hundred 35 million.in 2007 aa&m made 37 million. that sure is one hell of turn around, or a very good rate of return 3 billion.

I wonder if the Texas based company will find themselves in the same shoes. It seems to me like someone is trying bring the economy of Western New York to its knees. Once again catering to the south western states could it be because they are mostly red states and the administration is trying to bring our nation under partison rule. Dam it, Senator Clinton do something the people need you more now then ever.
