No Criminal Charges in Bryant Finances Investigation
The Saline County Prosecutor said Thursday he will not file criminal charges after an investigation into allegations of undocumented purchases in the City of Bryant. When money like this is unaccounted for it's protocol for the audit to land on the County Prosecuting Attorney's desk.

Bryant residents to see slight increase in water rates
The average Bryant water customers will see an increase of approximately $6.55 a month on their water bill from 2015 to 2017. For Bryant residents to receive water, the city purchases water from Central Arkansas Water and then sells water to residents.

Bryant woman buys $1 million lottery ticket
Susan Gray of Bryant bought a $20 Platinum Payout scratchoff lottery ticket at I-30 Liquor in Little Rock and it turned out to be a $1 million winner. She said she'd pay some bills and save some for retirement.
Vulgar vandalism; Panther statue tainted as Salt Bowl looms
One day before the Salt Bowl - which has been known to spark incidents of vandalism between rival schools Benton and Bryant - five juveniles were issued citations charging them with vandalism at Benton High School. When police officers arrived at the school early today, they observed five teenage boys running from the building toward the middle school.

Stepbrother's killing lands 20-year term
Tristan Duane Lewis was sentenced to 20 years in prison Thursday for killing his 26-year-old stepbrother in a case where there was no question that the 21-year-old Little Rock man had fatally shot the older man.
