Georgia man wants molesting charges dismissed

Lawyers for a man charged with kidnapping, molesting and killing a 6-year-old girl say his charges should be dismissed because the grand jurors who indicted him were not diverse enough.

It is obvious that the defense team is grasping at straws.
There is something missing in the Edenfield brain. The one little part that makes them human. I've seen wild animals with more decency and compassion than these monsters. I can understand, though not agree with, a person killing another out of anger, rage or fear. The Edenfields have no such reasons. They can not even claim sickness, as sickness can be cured or controlled. They are defective, plain and simple.
If an animal is defective in this way, whether due to breeding to be overly vicious, or an incurable illness such as rabies, when an animal behaves in such a way, they are "put down". They are removed from society and they are killed. Problem eliminated.
Why can we not do the same thing to the Edenfield bunch? There is no reason to keep such monsters alive. They are vicious, dangerous, and of no use to society.
Why should we the taxpayers be forced into paying to keep them alive?
Due process? What due process was given to Christopher?
Because of a plea deal? What deal was given to Christopher? Did they hear his pleas?
What this family done to Christopher was beyond a nightmare. The pain and grief they have caused to his family is beyond imagination. Yet, they are very protected while incarcerated. They are given food, medical care, climate controlled living quarters, and legal council. These things are not free. We are paying for it.
The life of this child was taken away in the most ghastly manner you can imagine. No one will ever know what kind of man Christopher would have been. No more memories will be created in the minds of those who loved him. He will not have the chance to experience the little things in life like his first kiss, his first car, graduation, first job, or the joy of having his own children. This is more than just a murder, it was theft at its very worst.
And yet the monsters are allowed to cry foul? To complain? To seek leniency? To make deals?
What is wrong with this picture?
No more deals, no more clogging up the court system with ridiculous motions and request. Convict them, sentence them to death, then carry out the sentence with speed. Remove these monsters from the human race.

How can you understand the reason for killing out of rage or anger? Now that is sick, One should never understand killing for those reasons, Go back to the drawing board.

I didn't understand that part either, but I was guessing she was saying the Edinfields are just sick...and there wasn't a reason for it at all....JMO

Tech -

The statement is intended to mean that at least in cases of rage, anger or fear, there is at east some semblance of an excuse. In the case of the Edenfields, there is no such reason/excuse.

Please take note of the center portion of my sentence-

"I can understand, though not agree with, a person killing another out of anger, rage or fear."

"THOUGH NOT AGREE WITH"

Now what part of that is so difficult for you to understand? I don't think I need to "go back to the drawing board". Though I do think perhaps you need to return to a reading comprehension class.

exactly! not sure what that was about. I can see why people kill out of self defense/fear but not rage doesn't make sense to me.

Ok I see your point. I can and do understand the edenfields being executed. I am for the death penalty in cases such as this, however, if a citizen were to take justice into there own hands and were to kill the edenfields I would not understand because we have to let the justice system to what it's designed to do. I despise the edenfield just as much as the next. I also have been following the Shasta Groene case and justice was served that demon will die for all of the hurt he caused that family. This case was just as horrific if not more as Christopher’s just from the simple fact of this monster torturing these children and keeping them around only to rape them, boy and girl over and over.

I never thought I would say this but I agree with you again. The only thing (and this is just me) if it was one of my children I believe I would be in jail. I could not go on knowing these monsters would go on one more day alive after hurting one of my babies...I couldn't imagine what these families are going through....and don't want to...

Also I would like to say I didn't give it much thought about all these children that have been attacked (in any way) until I started talking to TG and Cyn. That's one good thing I will admit about talking to these two people...I do visit the site Cyn has and I do read them and they have really touched me and makes me so sad...and I feel for their families...

Did That come out of my mouth right?

I am so very thankful that my children made it to adulthood! I don't know what I would have done nor my reaction if something like this had happened to one of mine.

There are so many monsters in society. Monsters that simply no longer have the right to breath the same air as human beings. I am not a violent person, nor do I normally believe in "vigilante justice", but I will admit there are times I have wondered if the vigilante system wouldn't have served the public better.

For instance, Edenfield had just been to court 3 days prior to Christopher's abduction. He was given a slap on the wrist and turned back out to mingle in society. His father had been convicted of incest/molestation, yet he too, was allowed to roam our streets. Why?

Why were these monsters allowed the chance to do the things they have done? Why are there so many of our children coming up missing every day? Why are so many of children being scarred for life and having their innocence stolen from them by vile creatures that have been allowed by our "justice" system to be in society?
And can anyone tell me why these monsters have any rights at all?

They don't have any rights in my eyes...I believe they will get theirs in the end..If not in prison then by GOD...and that's comeing anyways. I would torture them one by one day by day until they begged for their life to end...They are sick along with any other sick person that kills or hurts a child or anyone for that matter.

Yes it did- good girl, you're playing well with others! JK- I agree with you and HMMM 100%. I hate that these monsters get so many rights. Most parents would probably agree if it had been one of ours we would probably be ready to kill, like that movie with Samual L. Jackson in it "A Time To Kill". However, unfortunatly it just isn't reasonable, don't you know that Christopher's dad would probably love to wrap his hands around those bastards throats! That poor man, and then to have to pick up the newspaper and read about the defense lawyers claiming that thier defendants are having their rights violated! Puleeeese!

Along with this case, I've also followed another case - the hiker Meridith Emerson that was kidnapped and murdered in north Georgia this past January. I used to live up there and have friends that still live there. The murderer was named Gary Micheal Hilton. The police in Union county made a deal with him - that if he'd take them to her body, they would take the death penalty off the table. He took the deal and took them to her body. She had been killed by being beat in the head with a tire iron and then decapitated. He plead guilty and was sentenced to life.

Since that time, he has been indicted and sent to Florida to face charges for the murder of another woman, Cheryl Dunlap, who was also decapitated. He is also under investigation for the murder of an elderly couple in North Carolina, though not indicted as of yet. It seems they are trying to decide who is going to prosecute him, the state of NC or the Federal Govt. because it happened on Federal land.

Monsters. Absolute monsters, pure and simple.

I remember that case too, happened on one of the hiking trails on the Unicoi Mountain didn't it? I use to live in Hayesville, NC. which as you know isn't very far from their either. They only agreed to spare his life with that one particular case right? So they could have him sentenced to death for the others right? I'm not sure how the judicial system works, but it is a shame that a young woman can't even go on a nature hike, in a place so beautiful as those mountains without running into such evil....as with Christopher, his world was sweet and beautiful and innocent, that little boy didn't know what evil was- why did they have to show him? It pains me that the world is what it is- my children are still young, and I fear it will only get worse before it gets better.

On the Appalachian trail near Vogel State Park in Union County is where he kidnapped her. Her body was found in the Dawson Forest Management Area in Dawson County.

You are correct - the other cases have made no deals with him and they do not have to honor the one he already got. He was extradited to Florida on June 6 and is awaiting trial for the murder of Cheryl Dunlap. I haven't heard anything else on the elderly couple in NC.

Here is a link to some of the info - warning though, the more you read the madder you will become.

There is no telling how many others this monster has killed. He was pretty much a traveler and a vagrant for many years.

Just more scum lawyers grasping at straws to get their criminal client off the hook. Any judge with an ounce of compassion and brains would laugh this crap right out of court and move forward with the trial despite these idiot attorney's attempts to derail things.

I agree 100%!! The entire justice system is screwed up! All the way from the judge who presides over the case right down to the officers who show up on the scene. I could list a hundred or more B.S. things done wrong, in my opinion.

* George Edenfield should have NEVER been released but was due to a slack system.
* Every sex offender in the area should have been rounded up within one hour of Christopher was reported missing.
* NO plea deal for Mrs. Edenfield. She should be the first to die being as though she was a WOMAN!!
* No plea deal with the "retarded" man.....ANYONE CAN ACT RETARDED!!!! especially when you life counts on it!!
* It is a SHAME on any court system for it to take this long to even hear motions...bullshyt ones at that.
* Some idea of trial and hearing dates should be given to the family, but they haven't because they know they have supporters now who will flood the court rooms!
* NO judge or court official should be presiding over this case, especially the one who made a very poor decision before!!
* these people should be six feet under right now!! POINT BLANK PERIOD!!!! ALL four of them!!!
NO one who has lived to be a grown man in this world can be retarded enough to not know that you "DONT HARM CHILDREN!!!!"
