Even with the rain we have gotten this month, much of the state remains under drought conditions.

The worst of the drought has been in the southeast corner. Because of this that area which includes cities like Periodic rainfall occurred across Central Alabama the first half of January...but the heavier totals occurred in the north and west sections of the area.
