Governor calls GOP budget cuts 'stupid'

Gov. Phil Bredesen on Thursday derided parts of Senate Republicans' budget cut proposals as "stupid." The GOP proposal, first released late the previous day, includes the removal of funding for the state to acquire land for a West Tennessee megasite that would be used to attract large manufacturers and more jobs to the state.
