Don't count Woodston out just yet. The community attracted perhaps the smallest group of residents to a public meeting to discuss the possible closure of the town's post office, but they were a determined bunch.

Many residents think it's a foregone conclusion the post offices will be closed, something postal authorities repeatedly denied.

Four more northwest Kansas post offices have been added to a list of rural Kansas post offices being reviewed for possible closure.

The Alexander Post Office, in Rush County, already was on the list of candidates for closure; no decision on its fate, however, has been made.
