Tuesday offered perfect weather for a picnic and pontoon boat rides. About 525 area senior citizens took advantage of the beautiful day to participate in the annual Area 9 In-Home and Community Services Agency's picnic at the Treaty Line Pioneer Village at Dunlapsville.

Four arrested on heroin charges

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday a joint effort between officers of the Rushville Police Department and the Rush County Sheriff's Department resulted in four arrests on felony drug charges following a traffic stop east of Rushville on U.S. 52.
