Mr Paterson the new Lic. plates you want everyone in NY to pay for is crazy. More people will just switch there plate to others state and save money.
So the money you think you will get from this will not be what your looking for.
Why does Albany keep taxing the home owners and now wants to hit the people with cars. What the new motor veh.Fees not enough.
Maybe Albany need a pay cut that would would give you the extra money for your budget.

The blind accident signed off on the budget in April that jacked spending by 10% and flogged the people with $8 BILLION in increased taxes and fees. Now the sightless scumbag tries to come across as a 'victim' fighting for justice.

He and every member of the NY Legislature are up for re-election in 2010. Every one of those thieves and blackguards must be turned out, party be damned.

This article is a perfect illustratation of why labels of "republican" or "democrat" are absolutely meaningless in NY politics.

Skelos is sucking up to the union monkeys.

Unions are now the enemy. Fifty-one per cent of all union members now work for Big Government while only 7% of private sector jobs are union.

They have been for quite some time balto. But only now are the results of the years of Union Monkey/Politician alliance becoming evident, with the tax increases (and much heavier ones yet to come in NYS, I'm sorry to say) and continuing budget crises at the state and local levels.

While the politicians are busy creating stories to blame it on one side or the other, they continue to bid for the Union Monkey vote. The only thing these politicians give a damn about is their own political prospects. That's how it goes when you have life-long elected politicians with no real job skills.

Skelos is doing the state a major disservice.

Whatever happens, Paterson will see to it his friends get taken care of first. Forest City has already received 4.9 billion dollars in taxpayers subsidies for their Atlantic Yards boondoggle and the CEO of that company is literally laughing in your faces.

Most of you will probably say that's Brooklyn's problem. But the 4.9 billion is coming out of the pockets of all New Yorkers.

How could they put someone like Patterson in charge of our budget?

The real issue is how can you trust Skelos and the rest?

the unions have wrecked the Big 3 Auto, public eduction, and about anything else they get involved with.

Until the politicians get some backbone the state
is going to get worse. Thank goodness it is time for me to retire and escape from NY.
