Barry Manilow 's publicist says the Brooklyn, N.Y.-born singer's recent weight loss is not due to illness, as rumors have suggested.

I have loved Barry Manilow since I was 12 yrs old. I'm truly glad to know that he's not ill. I wish him all the best. Love Karnetta!

Barry has been always very thin and elegant since I remember.I guess a lot of men at his age would like to look "thin " and without a " big belly " !!!!We have always loved you Barry just the way you are. carmen-patricia

My fears tell me it might be true Barry is ill I know publicity people are paid to keep negative rumors dispelled I pray they are not untruthfull to us Already distraught seeing the pictures certainly didn't help sleepless in Florida

I danced with Barry at his show in Las Vegas on June 21, 2008 and I can say that the man weighs more that 100lbs. I weigh 120 and only 5'7" and he towers over me. He has always been slim and if you look back from years past he hasn't changed a bit. Barry you look great and I wish that these people would quit Barry bashing. Just know that your friends are out there and I/we support you 100%. Enjoy your vacation.

I HAVE BEEN A BIG BARRY FAN FOR 30 YEARS SEEN HIM 45 TIMES AND DANCED AND SUNG WITH HIM, I WAS DISTRESSED AT HIS PICTURE HE HAS LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT LOOKS VERY FRAIL AND OLD. lOOKED LIKE HE NEEDED A DECENT MEAL, HE SHOULD STOP WORKING SO HARD AND HAVE A HOLIDAY.
