Same-sex couples feel relief as N.H. allows marriage

Full story: Lowell Sun

Brendan Denehy was halfway to the hospital when he realized he didn't have it. The legal document he usually carried in his glove compartment gave him the right to make medical decisions about his partner, Brian Rater, who had suffered stroke-like symptoms.

Keep the document of file with their doctor and they send it to the hospital to keep on file. That's the same thing I did with my father and my unmarried children. It is on file at their DR. and their hospital in case I need to make any decisions.

The only thing that was accomplished by allowing gays to marry was a total undermining of the family structure. I can only say that We are already seeing the effects it is having on society. Sin filled, lawless, and corrupt in every way. The fallen people lost in their own perversion.

Really now? Blaming society's problems on gay people?
How about murderers, rapists, child abusers, women beaters, thieves? Oh their harmless.
In terms of sin, is is considered just as sinful to commit adultery or have a divorce. But don't worry, you can still beat your wife and sell your daughter, thats not a "sin". Watch out for the shellfish though, that S*it will send you strait to hell ;). So I'd like to attend the next rally against long john silvers.

And as for family structure, do you only recognize a "Mother/Father" structure? Start attacking single mothers, divorced/remarried parents, and foster care. My mother is a widow, I suppose we should find her another husband asap or burn her at the stake.

I wonder how many people who use the bible to justify hate have actually read through the entire thing themselves (googling "does god hate the homos" doesn't count, FYI.)
I personally believe those who have not, should never be allowed to attend a religious service or be married in the church. Hey, if you want to limit rights, might as well limit yours too.

If no one sold their kids, how would gay couples get them? I'm not a big fan of wife beaters but I hear that happens with gay couples as well.

How does what other people choose to do impact your family structure? The legalization of gay marriage has had no impact (positive or negative) on my heterosexual marriage. However, restrictions on gay marriage certainly impacted their family structure.
We need to stay out of other people's marriages, families, and bedrooms as long as innocent people aren't being harmed.
I think this move is completely keeping in line with NH's motto of "Live free or die".

You can't legislate acceptance. Homosexuals have the same rights as heterosexuals already, they can marry anyone of the opposite sex they choose, they just choose not to. Creating an extra right and changing the definition of marriage is not what society wants. It even loses when voted on in CA.
The relationship between a man and a woman should be held above all other relationships as it is the foundation of society. Most homosexuals themselves benefit from the dichotomy of having a mother and father throughout their family life to create a well rounded person.
If it were a natural thing to be celebrated in society for 2 men to bugger each other it would create babies not aids. Equating deviant things some people choose to engage in with marriage and then teaching it to young kids in school as normal is sick.
If we have separation of church and state we should have separation of perversity and state as well.
Examples of imperfect marriages and abuse in heterosexual relationships doesn't support a reason to change it into something else with a whole new set of problems, either.
What you do in your bedroom is your business. We don't want to know about it or have it force fed to us as normal and morally acceptable.

well said Pete. I am not trying to bash gays either, I just don't think is We need to be force fed the lifestyle choices they make. I am sure they all had a daddy and a mommy at one time. I am so happy that My children are out of school. I know the gay community wont rest until they have forced their lifestyle on the minds of the innocent kids trying to get an education. I do believe in marriage but I know it wont mean anything to straight people in generations to come. Get married, get divorced, no big deal.

The lifestyle choice we are talking about here is marriage. Why do you feel that some one else's marriage is being forced on you.

Same old intellectually deficient crap we hear from the fringe dwellers. You are a sick little person with a small mind who cannot fathom the meaning of even the most basic elements of the United States Constitution. It's not about the creation of rights, moron. It's about the equal protection of law.

You are a depraved and perverted human being.
