Area Girl Scouts win pearl awards for cookie sales

Several Girl Scouts from Cuyahoga County were recognized as top 2012 cookie-sellers at the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio's String of Pearls event May 5. In the program, each girl who sells 1,000 packages the first time receives a gold chain with a single pearl, and a pearl is added for each subsequent year of reaching that mark.
