Former Kanabec County sheriff pleads guilty to swindling Woodbury man
A former sheriff of Kanabec County, Minn., pleaded guilty this week to swindling $115,000 from a Woodbury friend, using a scheme similar to one in which he was convicted of bilking $179,000 from a 91-year-old Mora, Minn., man.
