2 Crivitz residents die in single-car crash TOWN OF LAKE, Wis. (AP) _ Marinette County authorities say two Crivitz residents died in a single-car crash after the driver struck a tree.
The sheriff's office says the victims were a 37-year-old male driver and 26-year-old female passenger. Their names haven't been released.
Sheriff Jim Kanikula says the crash occurred Friday about 6:10 p.m. in the Town of Lake.
He says the car apparently slipped off the edge of the pavement, causing the driver to overcorrect. The car skidded across the roadway and into a ditch, where it struck the tree.
The man was trapped in the car and the woman was ejected. Neither appeared to have been wearing a seatbelt.
Both were declared dead at the scene.
It's unknown whether alcohol was a factor.

Group repairs home of injured Green Bay veteranMILWAUKEE (AP) _ When Army Sgt. Mark Meunier bought his Green Bay home in 2003 he knew it needed plenty of repairs. But after he suffered injuries in Iraq that left him able to walk only short distances, he assumed the work would never get done.
Scores of volunteers refused to let that happen.
Meunier prepared to move back into his home Sunday afternoon, about a week after a national nonprofit group began repairing the three-story house from top to bottom.
'It's really nice, it's like a brand-new home,' Meunier, 36, told The Associated Press by telephone Saturday. 'This whole thing is unbelievable.'
The free work was organized by Rebuilding Together, a Washington, D.C.-based group that provides free home repairs for veterans and low-income Americans.
The repairs included replacing the roof and windows, making a bathroom easier to navigate, repairing electrical wiring and installing a new water heater and furnace.
The Green Bay Packers also plan to donate and install a porch ramp Easter weekend, he said.

Wis. DNR develops plan for new state parkLUCK, Wis. (AP) _ The Department of Natural Resources has developed a plan for managing a new state park in northwest Wisconsin, and now it's the public's turn to review the ideas.
Public comment on the master plan for Straight Lake State Park and Wildlife Area near Luck in Polk County starts Monday.
The DNR's Paul Kooiker says the plan calls for a 3.5-mile extension of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and a range of other recreational uses.
The state bought the 2,779-acre property in 2005. The DNR says it includes two natural lakes, three man-made flowages, 222 acres of wetlands with a diversity of plants and animals and a forest with habitat for endangered birds.
The DNR's plans will be the subject of an April 23 meeting in Luck.
