As we showed you exclusively on KDLT News at ten last night, Bridgewater had thousands of pounds of rotting meat stinking up the town.

Forty-four tons of rotting meat have been removed from a defunct packing plant in Bridgewater, where officials and volunteers who were left to clean up the mess and stifle the stench are now trying to figure out how to pay for it.

A small South Dakota town is dealing with a big, smelly mess. The power company cut off electricity to an abandoned packing plant in Bridgewater about a month ago, not knowing that tens of thousands of pounds of meat were still in the freezers.

Trained weather spotters reported a funnel cloud between Bridgewater and Dolton at 10:21 p.m., moving southeast at 30 mph, according to reports from the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.
