Got spare change? Name the field
The group that operates the Connecticut Valley Fair has launched an ambitious effort to help facilitate the move of the annual July fair to the new fairgrounds on the Lower Plain.
Connecticut Valley Fair, Inc. plans to auction off exclusive naming rights to the new fairgrounds. Through Oct. 31, the organization is accepting sealed bids for a 99-year lease of exclusive field-naming rights for the price of a quarter of million dollars. The highest sealed bid of $250,000 or more will garner the auction winner exclusive naming rights for at least 99 years.
