Mrs. Brittany Leanna McCormick Griffin, age 23 of Franklin, Georgia passed away on Wednesday evening, May 2, 2012 from the results of a four-wheel accident.

A proposed transportation tax that will go to the voters this summer has the support of some government officials in Carroll County, but it also has its critics.

Born October 24, 1922, in Franklin, Mrs. Sheets was the daughter of the late Arthur Jackson Smith and the late Annie Pittman Smith.

Ina Mae Maxwell Duke, formerly of Bowdon, Georgia and LaGrange, Georgia, passed away on March 25, 2011 at Social Circle Nursing and Rehab Center in Social Circle, Georgia.
