The Rho Chapter, Eta State, of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International held its regular meeting April 18 at Rodi Restaurant.

The Second Annual Gospelfest will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church, 1741 Fallston Road, Shelby.

Michael Sharron Wright told a judge he was guilty of second-degree murder Friday in Granville County Superior Court, accepting a sentence of at least 14 years, and up to 17.5 years to serve.
