Wondering if anyone would be interested in riding sportbikes around Perry,Breathitt,Lee,Owsley. We ride in the afternoons during the week. Very interested in getting nice size group together for a weekend ride (200-250 miles) We ride safe, yet cruise speed 60-70, hit cruves hard, and yeah open up sometimes on straight aways. No stupid stuff, keep safe distance from rider in front. No passing 6 bikes wide. Also would like to see if anyone is interested in attending a track day. I will post some links at the bottom. Any questions just reply back and I can give you an email address..

Here's a question. Being the smartass that I am. Here goes: What in the hell has a motorcycle club got to do with an accident on the railroad track? Is the site where it happened on the bike route? Ride through Owsley Co., you will never be in danger of being hit by a train. We are proud to claim we are a railroad free county. But, if you're hot, we may run a train on you.

It was put on this forum by mistake. I'm betting there is a reason that the train don't run through Owsley Co. That's right chicken- fu--er, or RoosterOne. I would bet it is more like the first one. Keep living the dream. METH-HEAD FABULOUS!!As far as running a train on someone. I guess if you are a needle dick, chicken fu--er then you would have to bring a couple of your friends..

We had just come through that railroad crossing and was headed to Jackson when this happened. Do the safety poles not work? I have a feeling someone is getting sued! And I honestly don't blame them, if that's the case.

A good rule is do not linger on a railroad track. But, I bet he [the truck driver} was easing across as to not to throw the horses down. The truck didn't have enough power and weight to pull the trailer on out of the way. He was lucky to get out of the vehicle. Was the accident on the main highway, or a side road? That is a rather rough crossing on SR52. For so few crossings in this area, we tend to have a lot of such accidents. Remember, trains take several minutes to stop. Don't try to beat them. I remember when the fuel truck hit the train in Beattyville, that fellow said his brakes failed. Does anyone remember that/

It wasn't on the main road. It was at Tallega behind Joe Palmer's store, across from the pay lake.

There was is a gap between the road work and rails that vehicles had been getting stuck in between. CSX will throw a few dollars at them and they will take it, they have already offered to buy him a new truck & trailer. I'm sure they will take care of the girl too, but only because it was on the news. They should be sued to make sure this is fixed and doesn't happen again, but money talks

Please use caution at all RAILROAD crossings I hate it when we have to stop! Hell I wish Booneville had a train track then I wouldn't have to get off in Beattyville I could ride to town and sell my stash!!

Oh, thank the Lord! I have been worried that Boxcar Willie had not survived that wreck. I thought he had taken his last ride. Bless his whiskers!! Willie, you are the King of the Hobos. Please don't go riding on that long black train though. Gotta go! I hear that train a'coming!

The counties need to take some of all that stashed up monies and fix alot of these little hazardous areas in both Owsley ad Lee Counties, instead of padding their pockets...What are they gonna do if someone gets really seriosly hurt or DIES because of a few messed up areas???
