In a rough-and-tumble contest where tempers flared at times, the Bonham Warriors defeated longtime nemesis North Lamar, 36-23. Bonham had an 8-6 advantage after the first quarter, with Bonham senior post T.J. King working hard in the paint to score six of the Warriors' points.

The 2009 storm season in North Texas was a typically busy season. Twenty tornadoes were reported across the area, and destructive windstorms, large hail, and deadly flooding all made appearances in our area.
