According to Illinois State Police District, the driver of a 1996 Mack dump truck, Howard D. Ritchie, age 63, of Bone Gap, was northbound on Route 1, just north of Wabash County Road N 820, when two tires separated from the axle on his vehicle.

Robert D. Smith Jr. was sentenced to two consecutive 12-year sentences for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two consecutive eight-year sentences for criminal sexual assault.

Robert D. Smith, Jr., 56, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday evening at his place of employment in Grayville.
