Dale Capen, 47, of Jamaica, was arrested at the 7-Eleven in Bondville for felony extortion and a misdemeanor charge of stalking and harassment by telephone.

A Jamaica man has been arrested on the felony charge of extortion as well as the misdemeanor charges of stalking and harrassment by telephone.

This past Saturday, a crowd of Mountain School students, parents, teachers, staff and members of the general public gathered at the Southern Vermont Arts Center to create hand-made ornaments and other holiday decorations to trim the trees of five local families who otherwise may have gone tree-less this year.
