Bolton Man Told To Stay Away From Girl
A Bolton man was ordered Wednesday to have no contact with the 14-year-old girl he is accused of sexually assaulting.
Charles Leopizzo, 57, of 12 Notch Road Ext., was charged June 4 with attempted second-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of impairing the morals of a child. He was arraigned Wednesday in Superior Court in Rockville.
According to the warrant for his arrest, Leopizzo cut open a piece of wrapped candy the 14-year-old liked and slipped in one of his wife's sleeping pills. The child noticed that the candy had been tampered with and poured out what she described as powder. Then she ate a portion of the candy before throwing away the rest.

Police Await Autopsy Results For Bodies Found Near I-384
At least one of two men found dead at the side of I-384, one in Bolton and the other in Manchester, over the weekend had been wrapped in plastic, police sources said this morning.
Police are waiting for the results of the autopsies, which are scheduled for today, before they release more information about the gruesome discoveries -- less than two miles apart -- by passing motorists Sunday morning.
'We really don't have a positive identification for now,' said state police Sgt. Chris Johnson, who would not talk about how the men may have died. He said they were not believed to have been there long because they were found in well-traveled areas.

Police Identify Bodies Found In Bolton, Manchester
Police continue to investigate a puzzling double homicide in which the two male victims, at least one of them wrapped in plastic, were left at the side of westbound I-384, one in Bolton and the other in Manchester, less than 2 miles apart. The body of Ronald F. Brown Jr., 42, who had been out of prison about a week, was found off I-384 in Manchester Sunday morning. He died of a gunshot wound to the head, state police said Monday. Eric T. Kimberly, 37, whose last known address was in Torrington, died of a blunt force injury, state police said. A passing motorist found Brown's body at Exit 4 about 5 a.m. It was lying partially on the ramp to I-384 west from Highland Street, police said. A different motorist found Kimberly's body in a grassy area near the Exit 5 on-ramp at Bolton Center Road in Bolton about 7 a.m., police said. Court and state Department of Correction records show that Brown, who was from Bristol, and Kimberly, who had lived in Torrington in northwest Connecticut, both had criminal histories.

Gas Prices Reshaping Hiring Practices
The winding, tree-lined road that leads to a suburban business park in Avon resembles a country lane. Picnic tables and patio umbrellas dot the parking lots.
The air seems fresher. Like other out-of-the-way manufacturing enclaves around the state, there are fewer traffic jams, and the pay scale is comparable to what many urban firms offer.
It's a pleasant drive. But for a growing number of workers, it's a costly commute.
For hundreds of suburban and rural companies that hire workers at $10 to $20 an hour, where their employees live has never been a concern. These small manufacturers and service companies hired, and workers commuted.
