This does not appear to be a law enforcement training issue. This appears to be a failure of the mental health system in Marin.

This is a great first step. Next we need to reinstate community policing practices and move away from a them verses us mentality.

A one size fits all approach to policing is so old fashioned that it is embarrassing. The militarizing of our police forces with homeland security funding for robo cop "fancy equipment" in lieu of this type of training is not what we need to deal with community safety.

Keep moving in the right direction.

Exactly, balance and use of discretion, their most powerful tool.

Why was a building full of subnormals allowed right next to a grammar school?

Mary your remark "subnormal" is an oxymoron.
But on the otherhand probably not the best place to
house people suffering from mental illness, perhaps
you should ask the agencies that are responable for that decision, let me know what their answer is I'd
sure like to know.Which school are you referring to?

Why do hospitals have sick people and people with compromised immune systems in the same building?

Why is Marin Firearms next door to a liquor store?

Why is San Quentin on prime real estate?

... i'm gonna take a stab that the people you call "subnormals" have never been a danger to the children... of course, there is a first for everything right? I mean, I could say "why do they allow priests to be alone with children?" and play Tuesday night quarterback right?

First they must be sure they even have such a situation and are not just making it up to try to intimidate the person into not complaining about the fact they are blaming the victim and not gathering evidence properly.

That is what they did to my former neighbor. They tampered with evidence and then said they were going to arrest her for resisting arrest when they had no original charge to arrest her and all she was doing was just standing there telling them to gather evidence instead of putting their own fingerprints all over it!

What makes you think the police will follow the rules when they are not forced to? Get rid of Doyle now! Don't wait for the next election. Class action anyone?

The taser misfired resulting in the use of gunfire.
When was the last time Chief Charles Maynard scheduled "how to use and maintain the equipment" class for his mercenaries?

What is the memory retention of people hired as police officers? The officers in the SA event were experienced, not newbies from the Academy.

Four month prior, training was cancelled...therefore a man gets killed. This excuse is standard fare for the seemingly emotionally disengaged and slow thinking responders from SAPD.

Is this just a promotion to support more taxpayer dollars to law enforcement venues?

Your question makes no sense and you neglected to answer mine. I do not run "from" Town council, nor do I have any ties to the TC.

There are three opening on the SA Council. Are you going to run for election? You have my support.
