Western fun for the entire family is on its way as Ladonia kicks off its 44th annual Ladonia Rodeo and Frontier Days Celebration July 9-11. The fun begins at 8:30 p.m. Thursday with the first night of the Ladonia Rodeo, to be held at Eastman Arena, FR 64 at CR 3660.

Heading into its sixth year, the Scatfest Music Festival features eight local and regional bands on Saturday, May 30 at the Lamar County Fairgrounds in Paris.

A case of alleged terroristic threats by fourth grade students has surfaced in the Rivercrest Independent School District and threatens to be a heated controversy at the school board meeting at 6 p.m. today.
