I prefer my restaurant news without the political commentary, so I sure hope Nancy will be back soon!

I am sad for you that you think a reference to the President's name is political commentary.

I wasn't referring to this article in particular, but many articles in the past. Somehow Nancy managed to give us the latest restaurant news without having to share her political views. Like I said, I hope Nancy is just on vacation, because I liked her reporting.

So, you gave us your commentary about political commentary on an artice that didn't infact give us any commentary?

Every think of ... oh you know give us your commentary on something that the article talked about?

But, to what your question should have asked ... What did happen to Nancy?

Look, Nancy normally writes this column. This week I see Kathie is writing the article and I'm concerned that she may have replaced Nancy, because she likes to include political commentary in her articles. I hate politics and don't want to read the columnist's political views when reading articles where they should not be included (e.g. restaurant news, sports, weather, whatever). Also, I like Nancy's reporting and would be bummed if she is no longer writing the column.

On the article itself, I am disappointed that the Town Hall Brewery is not considering a Mears Park location. It would be great to build a nucleus of bars in that area where people could walk from bar to bar. I think that would convince some east metro residents to head to downtown St Paul instead of going to Minneapolis.

But yet, it was you who brang up the subject of injecting politics in the first post on this item???

I don't get why you would bring that up in an article that you have now pointed out had no politics?

Point is, if you don't like things that are not on topic (i.e. politics).. you shouldn't be the first one to bring up things that are not on topic!

Forget the politics already. Jerabeks (correct spelling) is well known on the west side. Great little coffee shop. I wish you well Russ. The people who own this shop are wonderful, friendly and talented people. The food they serve is fantastic. Good luck in your new spot. EVERYONE--try it, you'll like it.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
