Kan. schools win praise for keeping students fit
The Kansas State Department of Education says it worked with the Midwest Dairy Council to encourage schools to upload videos showing how their schools are active each day.

Kansas geologists say a massive Arctic ice sheet pushed it's way down to northeast Kansas 400,000 to 500,000 years ago, leaving behind distinct pink boulders similar to the two seen here in the new monument to the Ice Ages in Blue Rapids, Kan., in Marshall County.
Several area accidents over the weekend
The name has been released in a fatal Marshall county accident this past weekend.A Robert Studer, 48,A of Beattie died in the accident, which involved a '99 Harley Davidson motorcycle.A Studer was not wearing a helmet.
Topeka man sentenced for killing during spree
