State police say a man walking along Interstate 290 in Northborough has been struck and killed by a passing tractor-trailer. The victim, identified by police as 49-year-old Albert Bairos of Shrewsbury, was walking eastbound on the highway when he was struck at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
