Spc. Troy Orion Tom reminds us of the cost

An American is a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navajo, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native Americans. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghani. An American can be Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. An American is also free to believe in no religion. Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom.
Our forefathers and foremothers fought for national independence so we could all have the rights to independence, liberty, and freedom. They all came together and fought for this one cause. I think about the concept of freedom, I think how many men have fallen through the years. How many died on foreign Soil, How many mothers ' tears? How many pilots ' planes Shot down? How many died at sea, How many foxholes were soldiers Graves? I think just how many times That Taps had meant ' Amen,'When a flag had draped a Coffin of a brother or a friend. I think of all the Children, Of the mothers and the wives, Of fathers, sons and Husbands with interrupted lives. I think about a graveyard At the bottom of the sea, Of unmarked graves in Arlington. I think of all the Americans, not only those decorated, that have sacrificed so that others could be liberated and free. No, freedom is not free. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for us, Jesus Christ and the American G.I.… one died for our soul, the other died for our freedom.
Now the Social Democrats, successfully seeking dominant power, have subjugated the people by naming ethnic and sexual classes into what they refer to as minorities (primarily Blacks, Women, Hispanics); divided the citizens into financial classes which they refer to as: lower, middle and upper; divided environmentalists into classes which they refer to as green (earthly) and industry; divided marriage into classes which they refer to as same sex and opposite sex; and divided religion into classes which they refer to as No-God and God, pro-choice and pro-life.
And yet, although politically classified and setup to be deceived, we the people, with the exception of the illegal’s , predominantly have fought, or are decedents of those that have fought, for freedom. Blood and the will for true freedom are stronger than the Democrat’s subjugate actions and deceitful coercive persuasion. The Democrats will find out that earthly is not divine, for there is no insanity greater than electing a passively submissive pathological narcissist as president who wants to bring the Guantanamo terrorists to American shores.

Umm...Hello?!!! But this ain't no war on terror, it's a war to control Afgan oil,natural gas,and heroin poppy(Oxicontine). The Taliban is an American creation,just like Al Queda. Get yer heads outta yer butts and think for a change. Who knows how many innocent Afganny's are killed each day by American forces. And none of thier deaths get their picture in the Daily Times!!!

Thinkin?...which war? Iraq? Afganistan?....who the F cares? Bring our boys home - it ain't our fight. We got nothing to win ....we can't win...you can't win nothing. Last time this country fought for freedom was the Revoluntionary War and after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.....every other war since then has been fought for a politcal purpose, a pre-emptive war, or a enemy who supposedly threatens this country. Thank you Troy for making the ultimate sacrifice...... but this war is someone else is political agenda.

This is the wrong time and place to be giving opinions about whether this war is bad or not... My respects go out to the Fallen Soldier.. Because I guarantee those who wrote these BS posts wouldn't have taken his place even IF this war had right intentions... Would you?.. Think about your limitations and how far you would go to sacrifice, so others can post BS under the article about your death in a Combat Zone...

wow, you are not even in left field, your in the parking lot. i agree that innocent afghans are getting killed but that happens when the terrorist cowards use them as shields and rest assured that they will be covered by the state run meadia. i know i am wasting my breath with you, but you can't negotiate with the terrorist, you thing the listened to daniel pearl when they beheaded him, you can't let them them get one foot in the door.

All wars in history are decided by the elite few, carried out by middle class, and paid in full by the massive poor! Sadly, it is us (the massive poor) we keep the elite few in power through our votes every few years. Until we overhaul and dramatically change how our system is structured, we will keep hearing of liberty and freedom (red, white and blue patriotism) being propagated. Meanwhile the lives and blood of the brainwashed and the innocent continue to mount and being spilled. We humans are worst than wildlife! We have not advanced an inch beyond primate intelligence.

A final salute to Sgt. Troy O. Tom.

I first of all would like to thank my Cousin brother TROY TOM. Im sorry we never got to go snowboarding but your forever in my heart untill we meet again. I would also like everyone for all your support as americans. Yea there is alot of mixed feelings about the war, but our soldiers are americans fighting for certain beliefs, which I think is far greater than the political b.s. God bless our brave soldiers.
