Thick fog blanketed much of Georgia early Tuesday, leading the National Weather Service to issue a dense fog advisory for most of the state.

Thomas "Tommy" Lee Burnett Sr., 80, of Huckleberry Hills Rd., Blairsville, and formerly of Jackson County, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.
