Crystal Meade, the former mayor of Blaine, was a no-show in court. In a rare -- but what the prosecutor says was a legal arraignment by agreement -- an absent Meade pleaded not guilty to tampering with public records, misapplication of entrusted property and official misconduct.
The former mayor of the Lawrence County town of Blaine is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on charges stemming from alleged malfeasance in office and after leaving office.
