Barnwell Academy is checking in for a permanent stay at the old Winton Inn. The growing private faith-based school, which currently leases space from the Barnwell Presbyterian Church, was recently given the former hotel and restaurant property by Robert O. Collins of Blackville.

The Barnwell County Museum is presenting an organ and piano concert featuring Chad Martin, a native of Blackville, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at the Barnwell Presbyterian Church, 110 Franklin Street, Barnwell.
