The 2009 Custer State Park Fall Classic Bison Auction is Nov. 21 at the park corrals.
Recent Bison Discussions1,500-acre fire reported in Perkins County Sunday
The fire broke out about noon midway between Lemmon and Bison. Lemmon Assistant Fire Chief Harlan Hess says the Lemmon, Bison, Grand River, Lodgepole and Meadow fire departments in South Dakota, Hettinger and Reeder from North Dakota, the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management units fought the fire for about 3 hours.
