This week three casino employees give us their take on why they do what they do and a glimpse at who they are.
Cindy White was born in Spain, and has called Biloxi her home for the last 18 years. She has worked for Beau Rivage since its opening almost eight years ago. 'It is a gorgeous casino, and I have a great group of co-workers,' White said. She was recently recognized as the Beau's Employee of the Month.
White's hobbies include working in her yard and spending time with family and friends. Read more

Man accused in cash grab at Beau Rivage
Police have arrested a Mobile man accused of grabbing $70,000 from a casino cash cage and walking out.
Terrance Huell Lindsey, 19, was arrested Monday on a grand larceny charge. Capt. Darrin Peterson of the Biloxi Police Department said the incident occurred Aug. 31 at the Beau Rivage. Police were told the suspect reached through the cage and took a handful of cash from the drawer.
Investigators said some of the money was recovered. Read more

Hit-run driver gets 5 years for death
The driver of a sports car that ran over and killed 90-year-old George 'Peaches' Harris in May 2006 was sentenced Monday to five years in prison.
Richard Leleaux of Biloxi pleaded guilty to fleeing the scene of an accident that caused death, Assistant District Attorney Mark Ward said. Judge Steve Simpson handed down the maximum penalty after the victim's daughter, Cynthia, begged for a tough sentence.
Leleaux, apologetic in court, said he tried to hide the 1994 Pontiac Firebird after he and passenger Marian McVay realized they had hit a man, Ward said. The two struck Harris while he walked the causeway at the Popp's Ferry bridge on May 3, 2006. Read more
