Spears' Parents Fear for Her Life
Britney Spears' parents said Wednesday they believe the pop star's life is at risk following her early release from a hospital psychiatric ward over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist.
In a joint statement given to The Associated Press by their attorney, Jamie and Lynne Spears said they were 'extremely disappointed' to learn their daughter had been released.
'As parents of an adult child in the throes of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe,' the statement said. 18 Arrested In Massage Parlor Prostitution Sting
Twelve men and six women were arrested on suspicion of prostitution in an undercover sting targeting massage parlors in Los Angeles County, including in Beverly Hills, authorities said Friday.
The operation was conducted Thursday at four locations -- the 11100
block of First Avenue in Whittier, the 5700 block of Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles, the 2200 block of Lerona Avenue in Rowland Heights, and the 200 block of South Clark Drive in Beverly Hills, said Deputy Aura Sierra of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau. Read more
