The fate of three members of the Board of Selectmen is up to town voters as the town holds its first recall election on Monday.

A search warrant netted three arrests Friday evening in Bayou Vista. Shon Singleton, 17, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile and violation of a drug free zone .

A former longtime Berwick resident was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 167 in Lafayette Parish on Saturday after the driver of another vehicle allegedly ran a stop sign and struck him after he fell off his motorcycle while trying to avoid a crash.
