Wow a whole lot of probations for a whole lot of violent crimes. Including for repeat offenders. Not a good thing. kind of explains the repeat offenses and all. As for the court orders to stay away from the victims..thats plain silly. They almost never work and hard to enforce and thus provide no protection for the victims.

If the prisons were factories and the prisoners worked 8 hours a day 6 days a week and paid for themselves then more prisons could be built and tax payers would not have to house and feed them.

I am with you John Deere. I would go abit further, and say we ought to take some of the legal examples from the Arabs.
A thief gets his or her hands chopped off, 1st offense.
A swindler with a crafty tongue gets the tongue surgically removed, along with the vocal chords.
A rapist or child molester has gentals removed first offense, and tatooed on the forehead Deviant Sexual Offender.
A murderer turned over to the entire family of the murder victim to be dealt with in a jail cell for a 8 hour period, however the victim's family sees just.
I think the above noted acts would totally wipe out repeat offenders, PERIOD! Courts are way too lenient, and many crimes could be prevented with tougher sentences.

Now thats what Im talking about! KUBOTA !Hell Yea!
Middle Eastern Justice, No BS, eye for an eye.
(another opinion below)
I think the prisoners with long sentences, oughta be given sticks, put on a plane & dropped off in Iraq & Afganistan. A 1 way ticket. Bring our honest boys home. And since the prisoners are such bad asses, all they would need is a stick. If they made it, they could stay there.
No need to build new prisons, There just a TWA away from a new life.

Then how many jobs would they be taking from the public? Where jobs are already scarce. More prisons would also be good holding area's for the "citizens" when the socialistic regime starts up.

Hey Doc.,
I am right with you. All prisons should be shut down, as they are a insurmountable waste of tax payers dollars. Why should the honest, hard-working tax payers pay for Airconditioning, heating, food, blankets, weights, TV's, etc. for those who are not fit for societal freedom. I too agree, a one way ticket to Iraq with a free stick and parachute, and from thereon, they fend for themselves. They end up dead, oh well, they are better off dead over there than here. And, they are certainly better off dead than victimizing innocent law abiding citizens in this country.

They would not take away jobs from the private sector. That is so old a fear. I find it appauling that as a tax payer I pay for their room and board and medical while I myself can not afford medical insurance or care. working 3 part time jobs i still can not afford to lives as well as the pampered prisoners. When they get sick they see a doctor and get medicine, when I get sick i tough it out. Our society has no choice but to make prisons pay for themselves.

Should not be placed in prisons, rather executed.
