At least $222,000 in damages, no injuries reported from garage fire in Mifflin Township

When Chief Bob Savidge and his crews from Berrysburg Fire Company arrived at a garage fire in Mifflin Township just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, even the wind was working against them.

Crews fight barn fire in Northern Dauphin County

Dispatchers said Berrysburg Fire Department was called to the 600 block of Saint Johns Road in Mifflin Township around 12:30 p.m. They were still on scene at 3 p.m. State prosecutors have announced charges against a former doctor with the Penn State Hershey Medical Group and ten others who allegedly were involved in a prescription forgery ring.

PennDOT to Repair and Resurface Route 25 in northern Dauphin County

PennDOT District 8 announced today that preparatory work begins March 11 on a project to repair and resurface a 5.15-mile section of Route 25 from the intersection with Hoy Road in Upper Paxton Township through the villages of Killinger and Curtin to the intersection with Municipal Road in Mifflin Township, Dauphin County.
