Community Foundation gives 11 groups $100K in grants
The Community Foundation for South Central New York have $100,000 in grant funds to 11 organizations, including seven in Broome, Chenango and Tioga counties, as part of its Community Fund spring 2014 competitive grant cycle.

Pittsfield Boys & Girls Club picks Connecticut native as new leader
The organization's board of directors has named Ridgefield, Conn., native Terry Hughes as the club's new leader, effective April 28. Hughes has since 2010 served as the executive director of the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, N.Y., and has previously held the same position for the Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club.
