State police say a 20-mile stretch of highway in Michigan's Upper Peninsula has been closed due to flooding caused by melting snow.

The excessive rain brought the Montreal River into high flood with 15 families having to be evacuated in Ironwood while the Big Presque Isle River in Marenisco forced 25 families to leave their homes due to flooding.
