Rallying for their cause - Protesters call for passage of bill to protect mountains
“On the natural resources committee, most of the people on there are coal-related. You don't even have a hearing promised, and if you had a hearing it would probably get beat 14-2.”
Hundreds of protesters, including many from Harlan County, traveled to the state Capitol on Thursday, asking lawmakers to help curb what some view as a destructive form of coal mining. via Harlan Daily Enterprise
