Funerals for three victims of a northeast Kansas grain elevator explosion are scheduled for later this week.

Looks like the Keystone 1 tar sands oil pipeline is spilling again - this time in Bendena, Kansas.

Marci Penner, Distinguished Kansan of the Year in 2005 for her efforts in promoting rural Kansas, returned to The Barn Bed and Breakfast Inn at Valley Falls last week to lead the 19th annual Retreat for Relentless Rural Leaders.

Dorcas E. Turner, 89, Valley Falls, died Nov. 2, 2010, at Village Villa Care Center at Nortonville.
