Unruly deer get reprieve in Belvedere

Oh dear, what to do about those pesky deer in Belvedere? Apparently nothing. After meeting for seven months, the city's 14-member Deer Committee determined it could do little to control the population in the city without consent and cumbersome approvals from the state Department of Fish and Game.

Crime cameras approved, coming to Tiburon

Dr. Bill Rothman brought a hand-painted sign with with a new slogan for the town of Tiburon, which he showed to the Tiburon Council on Wednesday as it considered a proposal for security cameras to be installed at the town's main entrances that would track motorists coming and going.

'Person of interest' ruled out in Tiburon homicide

Joan Rosenthal, 75. was shot at close range at the gate of her Tiburon home. A "person of interest" has been ruled out in the case of a slain Tiburon woman after detectives pursued a potential link to a burglary investigation in Belvedere and San Rafael, authorities disclosed Monday.

Tiburon Peninsula turns out for lively Labor Day Parade

Arguably the linked towns of Tiburon and Belvedere on the San Francisco Bay waterfront couldn't get any more eye-catching. Toss in a parade with dressed-up dogs, little girls riding tiny decorated bikes and local glitterati tossing candy to smiling townsfolk lining the street and the limits of cuteness are severely tested.
