Nassau Residents Furious Over 'Rolling Stop' Fines

I have already received two tickets for turning on red. That camera s defective and furthermore, there is no sign posted that you cannot turn on red. I always stop before turning and still get tickets. I do not have money to waste and the county needs to investigate this camera ASAP!!!!!!

I agree with Scott! I personally am sick and tired of drivers rolling through the right turns as if they have the right of way. Basically, whether it's a right turn on red or a stop sign. You STOP FIRST and if it's clear then you can proceed. Now stop the bellyaching and obey the law then you won't get tickets. End of Story.

I tested the theory of the rolling right on red. I found that I was not given a ticket after stopping for a count of 3 at the light before turning. But my friend did not stop as long and he received a ticket, in other words if you don't stop long enough you will be ticketed. Now just for clarification we didn't do this on purpose but noticed it as an after thought, be cautious!
