one of the things i liked about bellflower was that it was family orented. so why take away things for kids. you want to keep money in bellflower now we have to go to surrounding areas to spend our money and entertain our kids. im sure there are other places this city can make cuts. why not take a cut in pay city council?????????

does the water-system budget include taking over the repair cost for the former perless
water system, so the residents in that area do not have to pay such high water bills. for example for 2 months my water bill is usualy between $130 and $155 and other residents in bellflower with the other water companies only average $55....... |

I can't think of a reason anyone would come to Bellflower unless you live here. I would much rather spend my money here in town, but I have to shop in the surrounding cities because Bellflower has little or nothing to offer! Even Ralph's is lacking....no deli and not much of a bakery! I feel like I live in a ghost town. |

Oh, but they (Bellflower) can spend money on new Speed Limits signs on Downey Ave. Increasing the speed from 35 to 40 while on the opposite side of Downey Ave. which is in Long Beach the speed limit remains 35. Is this in hopes by these cities to entrap speeders?

WHAT! That just sounds plain crazy! Well they sure can't make any revenue on the businesses in town. |

I have an outstanding idea for our budget issues in California, instead of days off and firing people, how about we take 15% from welfare recipients checks for the next 6 months... jesus christ, we could be in the green zone if we did this.
