BELLEAIR BEACH, Fla. - In the City of Belleair Beach, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.A In fact, sometimes it's not even grass at all.

Deciding that 'less green is more green,' the City Council has passed a law that lets residents replace their green grass landscaping with rocks, pebbles, plantings and other Florida-friendly materials.

Pinellas County is responsible for administering a program to renourish the sand on local beaches according to requirements set by the state of Florida.
