The Ti Ferry Insurance should be covered or
taken over by NY State ,The Ferry be able to run until The Croun Point Ferry is running. Don't the State know how many people are hurt by shutting down the Ferry? |

i can't believe the ny and vt govenors can do something......

Shame on the govenors from both states, they should have paid the insurance, they aren't the ones traveling out of their way by HOURS to get to work in this winter weather. You can just bet if it were one of their family members that had to go through all this, that ferry would have been kept open. This whole issue is one sad joke, no one cares about us folks here..it's very obvious.

It should have been obvious to all of us before the bridge was shut down, the bridge was several years over its life expectancy and nothing was done by either state. It closes and little has happened since, it is a shame and should be a black eye to both VT and NY, but won't be because this area means nothing to politicians.

Can someone tell me if Teresa Sayward contacted the owners of the ferry and offered her assistance, or Betty Little? I want to know what my leaders have actually done to help us. Can someone please call the owners and ask them.

well... Teresa Sayward sends her sympathy... you see she fully understands as she herself has a 90 mile drive to her satelite office

You can call the owners and ask them too. I have personally written dozens of letters including Sayward, Patterson and Little. The short answer is, No they do not care. They are not doing anything about the Ti ferry and they couldn't care less about us. This should be declared a state of emergency, there should be something available on our taxes this year to help compensate and for gods sake people who can't make the trip anymore should be allowed to collect unemployment benefits until the 24 hr ferry is in at the bridge. Our state is doing NOTHING for us continuing to struggle through this. |

It is a sad situation for 'all' who used the Ti ferry to go to work in Vt, or those in Vt. who worked in Ti to not be able to cross because of this insurance issue. Seems as though the state could have 'PAID' this insurance at least until the other ferry was available.
Looks to me like the State of New York could care less.... What a waste of money to put in the 'bubblers' to keep the lake from freezing where the Ti ferry crossed. Who had to pay that?? Go to Gov. Patterson...he wants to be re-elected when his term is up....maybe he will do something!! MAYBE!!!!!!!! |

Little is also up for reelection. I need to call the owners and see what politicians tried to help-can someone tell how to get in touch with them?

Also I am sure the state is paying for Saywards gas and maybe even a vehicle. Does she commute every day or just once a week? Lets look closely at how our great leaders have stood by and now want us to put them back in office. they should be all over this and helping every commuter right now. The silence is very loud and clear to me and it should be to every voter in this region!

I A you are totally right she dosent pay for her gas or the vehicle |
