Plumas County Museum's Mohawk & Sierra Valley Ranches Tour, Sept. 19
Participants will meet at the Museum at 8 a.m. to board the bus. From the Museum the tour will head east on Highway 70, noting various historic sites along the way, some of which are the Beckwourth Trail, Williams Railroad Loop, Spring Garden, and the newly renovated Feather River Inn.
Portola prepares for Railroad Days celebration

Now and then grownups need to spend a little time being 12 again. We had that feeling of wonder June 21 after our morning hike on old Highway 70 along the Feather River.
