A woman is lucky to be alive Tuesday after a one-car accident in Beaver Dams. Police say the woman was driving southbound on Route 414 when she swerved trying to avoid an animal in the road.

Two Chemung County men are behind bars for cocain sales. 22-year old Michael Trank of Beaver Dams and 25-year-old Steven Button of West Elmira were indicted by a grand jury today.
