A group of shift supervisors at a private prison in central Kentucky has sued Corrections Corporation of America, alleging the company forced them to work extra hours and denied them overtime.

Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received three new assigned personnel. The new assignments include a new post commander, detective sergeant and a new trooper from the last graduating academy class.

Sherman McCoy Sr., 66, of Beattyville, Ky., formerly of Freeburn, Ky., passed from this life on March 26, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

The crew, from Allen's Tree Service, was removing trees along Highway 587, just outside of Beattyville, around three Tuesday afternoon when the accident happened.
